What We Do
We as members of the Urantia Association of Great Britain and Ireland (UAGBI) seek to serve students of The Urantia Book throughout Great Britain and Ireland in the fostering of their study of the book and the dissemination of its teachings. We aim to do this by providing a variety of services and programs such as:
Annual Summer Meetings
An annual Summer Meeting is organised each year in various locations around the two countries to provide an opportunity for study group members to participate in, and to organise a conference in their local region. Here is where students of the book may gather to exchange views, deepen their understanding of the book and develop warm friendships as they socialise over meals and during other informal discussions.
Promoting Study Groups & Regional Gatherings
Students of The Urantia Book love to get together in the friendly atmosphere of people’s homes or in online Zoom sessions to study the book. Those who want to gain an enhanced appreciation and deeper understanding of The Urantia Book’s teachings have found it immensely helpful to study with others, to explore its rich content and share personal insights with other readers. An informal study group is an effective way to gain a greater comprehension of the Urantia revelation which can help students gain insights into how they can integrate the teachings into everyday life experiences. It can also forge life-long friendships.
There is a regular online study group being held throughout the year that services readers in Great Britain and Ireland as well as anyone else from around the world who cares to join in. For more information contact:

The Ascender Newsletter
by Christ Moseley
This website will be complemented by a newsletter, The Ascender, which will contain much the same material, at least for the time being. A different arrangement, but familiar too, I hope. This newsletter is still intended to bring together the widely scattered readership of the Fifth Epochal Revelation in the UK and Ireland, and we welcome contributions from you. As I am the Chief editor, contributions and pictures can be sent to me Chris Moseley.
Some long-term readers may recall that The Ascender was the name of a quarterly newsletter for readers in Britain, edited by me, that ran from 1988 to 2009, and existed in print form only. It wasn’t affiliated to any organization, though for a lot of that time I was running the Urantia Foundation’s British office, distributing the book to booksellers and readers in this country.
The Ascender will still be a quarterly, as before, and it will be available in print, as well as on-line. Now, though, the default issue will be on-line, and be sent to you by email unless you prefer to request a print version to be sent by post.
If you would like to receive a copy of the Ascender or for more information on UAGBI please contact me.
Study Aids
Many students of The Urantia Book produce study aids and derivative works – creative tools that may help others understand the complexity of The Urantia Book. One of our members, Hara Davis has produced a series of wonderful study aids that many readers of the book have found to be very helpful and enlightening.
Readers Referral Service
UAGBI provides services to students of The Urantia Book through email, mail and telephone, assisting them to locate other readers and study groups in their local regions. No contact details are ever revealed without prior permission.
Gift Book Program
UAGBI sponsors a gift book program to donate books to libraries and other relevant learning centres in Great Britain and Ireland as well as assisting with the supply of books for promotions at markets and book expos.
